Annual Used Book Sale

Annual Used Book Sale

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to work and to everyone who purchased books at the 2016 Used Book Sale.  The Friends were able to raise over $10,900 for the benefit of our library.

NOTE: We always appreciate your donations of Good, Clean, Saleable Books.

*SALEABLE; PROFITABLE, COMMERCIAL, MARKETABLE, VIABLE, MONEY-MAKING and PROFIT-MAKING

So, while we very much appreciate your donations, we ask that you please insure that they meet the definitions of “Saleable.” We have received some donations that we are unable to use for the book sale due to the poor condition of these books.  Books brought to the library are accepted for us by the library staff who do not have the time to check them and advise whether or not the donations are usable.  We ask that you please sort through your donations before bringing them to the library and cull out books that are smelly, dirty, too worn or otherwise not in a saleable condition and take those books to a local recycler. We need used books for our sales, but only those books that you or someone else would be willing to buy.
