Friends Week

National Friends of Libraries Week 2016
October 16 – 22

Library Friends all over America are honored to work for the benefit of assisting their libraries with book purchases, programs, and other needs.  Shown above are Pat Acebo and Cindy Grill offering our patrons some refreshments as a special thank you for the community’s help in all of the projects we undertake.

Friends’ Week Celebrations – 2016

Thursday, October 20, and Friday, October 21, 2016

Please join the Friends of the Adamstown Area Library on Thursday, Oct. 20th, for a fun evening with entertainment by the Scribbler, Mr. Jack Brubaker, of Lancaster Newspapers.  You may have enjoyed Jack’s interesting column, The Scribbler, and his many stories about Lancaster County.  He will be sharing from his over 30 years of writing about Lancaster County, its history and its people.  Jack will also have his books available for sale that evening.  After Jack’s presentation, we invite you to stay for light refreshments.  There is no charge for the program.  It will be held at Peace United Church of Christ, 37 East Swartzville Road (Route 897), Denver, PA, starting at 7:00 p.m.  The program is suitable for older children and adults.  Please register on the library website (see link below for the library).

Friends Week

On Friday, Oct. 21st, the Friends will be hosting the younger children for an open craft day at the library.  This is a drop-in craft and will be available between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, October 21.  Have fun making the craft and take home a treat to eat later.
